 I have compiled openjade-1.3.2 with success. I have used the GNU C compiler 3.3.2,
with GNU as, ld and nm tools. 

 Steps:
 1- Apply the patch:
   patch -p 0 <openjade-1.3.2-msggen.pl.patch

 2- My configure command:
    CC=/usr/local/gcc-3.3.2-with-gnu-as/bin/gcc ./configure --enable-http \
     --enable-default-catalog=/etc/sgml/catalog --prefix=/usr/local/OpenSP/

 3- make
 4- make install

that's all.
