cheap 1 These two paintings that you can see in this post, were the only two i ever did. They are cheap imitations of two artists i really like (Johannes Vermeer, and Rembrandt). In the two wikipedia links, you can see the original paintings: The Milkmaid, and Bathing woman, please don’t laugh…cheap 2
Well, believe it or not, for the first one i did receive a US$250 offer. Ok, now you are laughing!

When i was young (a long time ago), i was used to draw things, actually marvel things (all kind of heroes), like cartoonist. But i was never a good drawer, mainly because i was good in look something and draw it, but not so good to create things.

My father was a professional drawer (i think the word in english is sketcher), and for some time i thought i would be one too… no, would not. But besides some skills about drawing, i think i have got from my father the like for art (in general), and for some time i was a musician (samba), even with a recorded song (i’m still imagining you lol). No, not singing, that i really cannot even try… just as an instrumentist. I did play cavaco (the instrument on the right). Talking about music, yesterday Joss Stone was in a concert here, in Porto Alegre (pepsi on stage), but with my little baby Leonardo, i could not go…

first draw When my first kid was two or three years old, a dove have entered our home, and after my wife screaming and running from one side to another, he did draw the picture in the left side. I think the dove in the right side of the picture is in really good shape, and what i like about this draw, is the fact that he did it just after the event that was the first time he saw a dove in life. But he did draw it with many details…

7 years old But today i was impressed with the eiffel tower he did. That is something i really think is a gift from God, a kid (he is seven years old now), that never had any education on drawing, make such picture.

Ok, maybe it is not big deal, you may think it is just fine, but you know… father’s things.

Well, now i work with computers you know, did a graduation in computer science, and do like to think it is some kind of art too.

ps.: he did say to me that he did not paint the “white” color of the France’s flag because he does not have a “white pencil”… I think it’s not big deal, don’t you agree? :-)

NOTE: If you (as myself) really like the awesome paintings by Johannes Vermeer, you will enjoy Johannes Vermeer’s Page at Artsy (Artsy’s johannes Vermeer Page)!

peace!
